We are a friendly, informal association of filkers living mostly in Southern Ontario, with occasional visitors from farther away.\u00a0 If you are a filker “from away” planning a visit to the greater Toronto area, please get in touch as soon as you can and we will try to welcome you. Event details are distributed by e-mail, and you are requested to RSVP to the host – info will be provided to the group members.<\/p>\n
On Sunday 2016 February 21 from 1 to 5 PM we will be hosting our annual Bakka-Phoenix gathering of science fiction and fantasy fans who also have a love for music.<\/strong><\/p>\n – The store is open from 12 noon to 5 PM. Be sure to come early and\/or stay late to buy your Valentine the perfect present – books he or she will love! Check out www.bakkaphoenixbooks.com<\/a>\u00a0for more info about the venue, new books and book recommendations.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Saturday 2016 March 19 from 7 to 9:30 PM<\/strong>: Featured\u00a0 Mini-Concerts by local performers at The Merril Collection of the Toronto Library. It is located at the Lillian H. Smith branch, 239 College Street, Toronto.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Our Yahoo list is an announcement only list, about upcoming events or other items of interest to filkers (e.g. the new Filk Aurora).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n You may post to the list, but it is strictly moderated to keep traffic low.\u00a0 And it goes through Judith!
